Pendulum as a Tool

I am exploring tools to help me focus with my eyes open. It’s easy for me to focus with my eyes closed, but when I focus with my eyes open, I lose my focus and my ego gets involved and starts yakking. It was suggested to me to use a tool like a pendulum, or a set of tarot cards or the like to help.

Cards don’t really do it for me. I love Runes which I’ve used for years. Runes are like tiles that hold hieroglyphic symbols that have messages of encouragement and discernment. Runes always help me wherever I am at. I want to keep Runes a personal tool, not one I share with the public, at least for now anyway.

So, I decided on a pendulum. My wife has a pendulum that I’ve been using but I want my own. I muscle test my question, whether I should buy a ready-made pendulum or make my own since I am a beader. My answer was yes on both counts so I let outside circumstances decide.

When we were last at the store, Women of Wisdom, I was going to get one there but it was closing soon, so that decided it for me – I would make one. I knew I needed a good crystal weight on one end and a short chain with a counter weight of something on the other. I created the intention.

I opened all my beads and looked for a good crystal that had the ability to be attached. Nothing. Then I sat there and thought, where else can I look? In popped “my jewelry box”. There I found the crystal pendants that my sister-in-law gave me. I found a clear quartz crystal pendant. Next, I found an old chain I could cut into a short chain. Lastly, looking for a counter weight, I found several which I had to decide on.

What felt most resonant to me was a handmade bead simply wrapped around the edge. It’s brown and has an upper and lower “x”. It’s a Rune! I found the Rune book and read what it stands for.

The Rune's name is Inguz and represents new beginnings.

The completion of beginnings is what Inguz requires. It may mark a time of joyous deliverance, of new life, a new path. A Rune of great power, drawing it means that you now have the strength to achieve completion, resolution, from which comes a new beginning. Above all, completion is crucial here. It may be timely that you complete some project now; if so, make that your first priority. Perhaps a difficult state of mind can be resolved, clarified, turned around. Drawing this Rune indicates that you must fertilize the ground for your own deliverance.”

All things change and we cannot live permanently amid obstructions. “Inguz signals your emergence from a closed, chrysalis state. As you resolve and clear away the old, you will experience a release from tension and uncertainty.”

Another of the Cycle Runes, Inguz counsels preparation. Being centered and grounded, freeing yourself from all unwanted influences, and seeing the humor, you are indeed prepared to open yourself to the Will of Heaven, and can await your deliverance with calm certainty.”

This is incredible timing. I am almost through updating my website, preparing to open my energy healing practice on October 1st. I am clearing, purging, healing past traumas that have manifested themselves in my emotional body as fear and doubt. I awake from dreams that hold these memories and experience the pain, cry and heal. This process has been going on for months. As Matt Kahn says, “Feel it heal it. Hear it clear it.”

I’m standing at the rim of I Am. Ready to step forward and get out of the way, for I’m not the one doing the healing. It is God or the Universe or however you identify this high vibration of healing energy that comes from only love. This energy heals no matter the problem. I am the empty vessel readying myself for the light to pass through.

I am grateful.
