I'm offering a support group for parents and caregivers of chronically-ill and special needs children on the last Wednesday of every month in Millis, MA. We meet at the Millis Library in the Local History Room. In talking to parents and professionals, I'm often asked what kinds of diagnoses are involved. My answer is simple. There's all kinds of diagnoses involved, and it's the parents and caregivers who are focused on. This is about our care. Years ago I observed an elderly mother talking with her adult developmentally delayed son. The issues are there no matter what age. This was a profound realization for me as this commonality has no limit.
