On an overcast day, I gathered my shame and unworthiness and went for a ride. To settle the matter of their presence in my life.

I once dug myself into a hole so deep that I had no idea how I would get out. It became my secret. And my burden.

It’s easier for me to create my self-abuse than it is to wait for abuse. Today I take a breath and break through the walls of shame.

I do know the majority of people walking on this earth judge themselves using shame and guilt as a guide to their actions.
