I have been thinking about the loneliness of Covid—each of us confined in our lives with our individual configurations. Alone with our fear.

Another wrinkle unwrinkles. Another reminder that sorrow holds possibility of relief and understanding. It’s time to change my language.

I was letting go removing this daily reminder. The ashes set me free. I said a prayer, closed my eyes and released.

No matter how prepared, how controlling, how brilliant humanity is with their thinking brains, we don’t know it all. There is so much more.

I blew out my carburetor. I started with my grief-stricken heart and pushed past exhaustion until I felt my deep loss.
